What is Juvéderm Vollure®?

Juvéderm Vollure® is a cutting-edge dermal filler designed to address facial volume loss and reduce moderate to severe wrinkles. Part of the Juvéderm collection, this filler specifically targets laugh lines and parentheses lines, or the creases running from the corners of the nose to the mouth. As we age, our skin loses volume, but Juvéderm Vollure’s advanced gel formulation restores fullness, helping you achieve a youthful, refreshed appearance.

While other Juvéderm fillers, like Juvéderm Ultra and Ultra Plus XC, can also treat this area, they are generally more suitable for less severe wrinkles and don’t last as long as Vollure.

Who is a Candidate?

Juvéderm Vollure is ideal for individuals with moderate to severe nasolabial folds, often referred to as “parentheses lines.” These wrinkles, which deepen with age, run from the nose to the mouth corners. Additionally, this filler is effective for treating marionette lines—vertical lines below the mouth that angle toward the chin.

This advanced formula offers slightly more noticeable corrections with longer-lasting results compared to other fillers. However, some patients may experience swelling that lasts for several days to a week after the initial treatment. The severity of the wrinkles and the patient’s aesthetic goals will determine how many sessions are needed for optimal results.

Formulated with hyaluronic acid, Juvéderm Vollure has a firmer consistency compared to Juvéderm Ultra XC. This makes it less prone to shifting and allows it to last longer—up to 18 months in many cases.

What to Expect

Results are noticeable immediately, though some swelling and redness may occur at the injection sites. Bruising is also common due to the product being distributed over a larger area for full correction. Swelling typically subsides within a week, revealing softened lines and restored volume.

For the best experience, inform Dr. Sweat or their team if you are taking blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or NSAIDs. To reduce the risk of bruising, avoid these products for a week before treatment.

Once the swelling diminishes, the results will leave you with a naturally smooth, soft-focus effect on lines and folds around the mouth. Juvéderm Vollure is designed to enhance movement and expression while remaining in place, creating a refreshed and youthful look.
